Year 12 Geography study visit to East London

Monday, 16 November 2015

On Tuesday 10th November, the Year 12 Geography students went to Stratford in East London to investigate the success of different rebranding projects in an urban area. We looked at large scale projects such the Olympic Park and the building of Westfield shopping centre as well as smaller scale projects in the surrounding areas.

The trip was extremely beneficial for students - we got to use a variety of fieldwork techniques e.g. land use maps that we had previously studied in class. The data we collected will be useful as evidence in our exams. The trip was very fun and helpful.
